Today was a travel day, from the island of Vieques by ferry, and then south on Puerto Rico to Humacao. We are in a huge community of Las Palmas, with many, many resorts in this gated community on the beach.
We arrived early as we had been told we needed to be in a refurbished unit, and there were only 18 of them here.
We had no trouble and we were delightfully surprised! For our $189/week (plus the yearly maintennance and taxes on our time share), we have a beautiful place for the week. It is on two levels, light, and well-equipped. There are two pools nearby and many, many activities.
The big thing is the view from our living room and bedroom. It is like Lido Isle in So. Calif. There is a deep waterway outside our suite, with huge yachts in slips. Of course, in front of our unit, there is no yacht and Jim wants to know, "Where's ours?"
We think that tomorrow is laundry day and a day to just relax and catch our breath. We are tired of repacking and moving nearly every day. We think we'll take advantage of all this resort has to offer here tomorrow.
Sounds nice. I'm envious
